Oh what a beautiful day...

Oh what a beautiful day it is outside today!  Lawn is mowed, the front porch and back room are swept, the house is clean and the laundry is done.  Two of the grandkids, Dez and Zak are watching a movie on the laptop and RyRy is taking a nap. My hubby Mike is cleaning out the fish pond and getting it ready for the fish and plants.
What more could you ask for!
Thank you Lord!

Please say prayers for all those who have lost their loved ones along with all those who have been devastated with loss of house/homes, jobs and entire towns swept away during the awful storms through out the country.  My heart  is heavy with sorrow for all of them.

Footprints in the Sand
One night I had a dream. I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and across the skies flashed scenes from my life. In each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One was mine, and one was the Lord's. When the last scene of my life appeared before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand, and, to my surprise, I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints. And I noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times in my life. I asked the Lord about it: "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I notice that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why you left my side when I needed you most." The Lord said, "My precious child, I never left you during your time of trial. Where you see only one set of footprints, I was carrying you."

"If we cannot believe God when
circumstances seem to be against us, then we do
not believe in Him at all."

Happy Birthday to my Mom today!

Today is my Mom's Birthday!!!  We went down to see her on Saturday and to help her anyway we could.  It was so great seeing my Mom, We hadn't been able to get away since last August.  That was the last time we were down to see my Mom.  With having custody of my three grandchildren it is really hard to just get up and go like we used to.  We love you Mom!  Again, "Happy Happy Birthday!!!!"

Lord, Hear My Prayer!

"Lord, Thou knowest better than I know myself that I am growing older and will someday be old.  Keep me from the fatal habit of thinking I must say something on every subject and on every occasion.  Release me from craving to straighten out everybody's affairs.  Make me thoughful but not moody; helpful but not bossy.
With my vast store of wisdom, it seems a pity not to use it all, but Thou knowest, Lord, that I want a few friends in the end.

"Keep my mind free from the recital of endless details; give me wings to get to the point.  Seal my lips on my aches and pains.  They are increasing and my love of rehearsing them is becoming sweeter as the years go by.  I dare not ask grace enough to enjoy the tales of other's pains, but help me to endure them with patience.

"I dare not ask for improved memory, but for a growing humility and less cocksureness when my memory seems to clash with the memory of others.  Teach me the glorious lesson that occassionally I may be mistaken.

"Keep me reasonable sweet, I do not want to be a saint - some of them are so hard to live with - but a sour old person is one of the crowing works of the devil.  Give me the ability to see good things in unexpected places and talents in unexpected people.  Give me the grace to tell them so."

my bank account was
the sort of house I lived in,
or the kind of car I drove;

different because
I was important in the

they must be felt with the heart.”

Merry (Belated) Christmas!

Merry Christmas (Belated) and a Safe and Happy New Year to everyone!

Haven't been on the computer in a couple of days. Hope everyone had many blessings and a lot of Joy at this blessed time of year and may it spread through out the year. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

My brother Bill and his wife Heather made it to my Mom's for Christmas, my mom had been seriously ill the beginning of this month and so she didn't want to leave Bath to come to Niagara Falls for Christmas so Bill made the trip to be with her. He left Sunday morning to go back home, I pray they returned home safely to Albany. Didn't hear from my brothers Bob and Kev, Hope they had a great Christmas as well!

My three grandchildren, Dez 13, Zach 10 and Ryan 21mos have been with us since last November (I have had custody of them) and they just loved Christmas this year.

It has been by the grace of GOD we have been so richly blessed through out this year and have made it through many many hard times.

Sending Hugs to everyone.
God Bless You and Yours!

Veteran's Day!

Heroes

By Jared Jenkins

In war, there are lives risked and lives taken

Men and women giving their best to defend what they love

They defend their country

Their honor

Their people
Some call them soldiers

Others call them heroes
Our veterans have risked their lives for us

They have lived through hell and fought with honor

Many have killed

And regret doing so
For every life, there is a soul

For every soul, there is a life

For those who have died, we show great appreciation and remembrance

For those who live, along with them live the horrific memories of battle

Some, memories of defeat

Some, memories of victory

Our veterans were more than soldiers

They were, and still are heroes

Because of You, Unknown Soldier

By Courtney Tanabe

Because of you, I am here

Because of you, I am able to live freely
Yet I do not know you

And I have not done anything for you

But there you stand, ready to fight

And there you are prepared to die

For me
You've fought before

And you'll fight again

For someone you don't know
So thank you Unknown Soldier

Fighting for me
I'm here because of you

And I owe my future to you

God Bless All of The Men & Woman of the Armed Forces who have given up their freedom for ours!

Have way through October….

Can you believe it, we are halfway through October already….Wow!  Where has this year gone to…unbelievable!

It is soon going to be Halloween……and they already have Christmas items up in the stores.  I have to say though I  love hearing the Christmas music so it doesn’t really matter to me if it is up in the stores….I would love having Christmas last all year through…it is my favorite time of the year.  What is yours?

Here are my two youngest grandchildren playing together…aren't they adorable.  Kaylee is on the left and Ryan is on the right.  They played together on Ryan’s brother Zachary’s 10th birthday Sept. 26th.  I never saw two children get along so lovingly as these two did, especially when they haven’t even seen each other in a while.  Really wish I had had a camcorder that day to capture the love between these two. They were so kind to each other, sharing their toys and snacks.

Below is Zachary on the left and his friend Chester on the right. Zachary had a great Birthday.

Below are Desiree, Ryan and Zachary just a couple of weeks ago.  I am so proud of these three, they have grown so much in this last year and in so many ways.   God Bless them all.

Don’t forget October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.     Hope you have scheduled your exam.

Well this month has been full of meetings, appointments and such….Oh yeah not to mention my husband Mike celebrated a birthday (he doesn’t really want me to mention any numbers here though….lol)  And two days later we celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary….which was AWESOME!!!!!   Thanks honey….it was a great time!

Well this is the most I have written in my blog in quite a while.  I am using Windows Live Writer for the first time so we will see how well this works or not.  Hope you all have a great day and look back here soon for a Free November Wallpaper and a Quick-page.

Okay I couldn't get Windows Live Writer to publish so I had to come back into my blog online to write this.  Really was hoping it would work, but because it didn't I just removed it off my computer.  Anyone else have that problem I would love to hear how you fixed it!

Take care and God Bless Everyone.

THE SECOND....

THE SECOND "TEN COMMANDMENTS"....

Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.
Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.
Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.
Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.
Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can.
Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!
Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.
Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to big ones.

Have a great day and God bless!
