I Am A Christian.....

I Am A Christian.....

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not shouting "I am saved"

I'm whispering "I get lost!"

"That is why I chose this way."

When I say..."I am a Christian"

II don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble

and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak and

pray for strength to carry on.

 When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed and

cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I'm not claiming to be perfect,

my flaws are too visible but God

believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I still feel the sting of pain I have

my share of heartaches which is

why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"

I do not wish to judge.

I have no authority.

I only know I'm loved.

Happy Mother's Day...

God Bless All of the Mom's out there on this years "Mother's Day!" May you never cease to see all of the blessings God has given you within each of your children.

Magnets & Mothers

A teacher gave her class of second-graders a lesson about the magnet and what it does.

The next day, in a written test, she included this question: "My name has six letters. The first one is m. I pick up things. What am I?"

When the test papers were turned in, the teacher was astonished to find that almost 50% of the students answered the question with the word mother. Yes, mothers do pick up things. But they are much more than "magnets," gathering up clothes and picking up toys around the house.

As willing as many mothers are to do such chores, they have a higher calling thanthat. A good mother loves her family unconditionally and provides an atmosphere where each member can find acceptance, security, and understanding. She is there when the children need a listening ear, a comforting word, a warm hug, or a loving touch on a fevered brow.

And for the Christian mother, her greatest joy is in teaching her children to trust and to love Jesus as their LORD and Savior. That kind of mother deserves to be honored-not just on one special day a year but every day.

And that recognition should involve more than words; it ought to be shown in respect, thoughtfulness, and loving deeds all year through.

And for all the Mom's out there who have furry-four legged children....God Bless you too this "Mother's Day!

(((HUGS To You All)))
