Mother Angelica passed away Easter evening at the age of 92. Mother was a pioneer in the field of Catholic media, founding EWTN, a global Catholic television and radio network, that reaches 144 countries. She was also the foundress of a religious order. She loved the Lord who shared his Cross with her for most of her life. The former Rita Rizzo grew up in a poor, broken home. She was crippled and ...wore leg braces for years, before receiving a miraculous healing. In 2000, she suffered a debilitating stroke and she slowly declined for 16 years. Unable to lead EWTN any longer, Mother spent each day of her suffering in constant prayer. Today, on the day we celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord, Jesus told Mother, "Today, you will be with me in paradise." Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord. May she rest in peace.
